Manage Attachment Types
Throughout the software application you will be able to upload images and specific file types, however before they can be uploaded, they have to be allowed. By default when the software is first installed the application will allow for the upload of the following mime types or formats:
JPEG Image', 'icon-jpg.gif', 'jpg', GIF Image', 'icon-gif.gif', 'gif' Text - NotePad', 'icon-text.gif', 'txt' HTML Web Page', 'icon-html.gif', 'html' Adobe PDF', 'icon-pdf.gif', 'pdf' MS Word', 'icon-word.gif', 'doc' MS Excel', 'icon-excel.gif', 'xls' Zip File', 'icon-zip.gif', 'zip'
In this section you can allow additional file formats to be accepted. This will be important as the application is enabled to allow customers and help desk associates the ability to upload and download images, files etc.
A detailed list has also been provided in this section. You can also click on the HTML link that will display additional possibilities.
If you have a problem uploading a specific file, ensure that the mime type is available. Specific vendors may have a proprietary mime type for their file formats.
Alternatively, if you prefer not to require the validation of a file type when it is being uploaded. Select "CFILE Accept Attribute is NOT ENABLED" as in the screen shot below. If "NOT ENABLED" is selected, any file type will be able to be uploaded and adding of accepted mime type(s) is not required.
