Manage Coupon Discount Codes

Usage: Create unlimited coupon codes to be distributed via mass e-mail, print, telephone, per customer etc.  Run multiple campaigns at the same time.

The CURRENT SHOW COUPON BOX SETTING is set to "NO" by default. If "No" is selected the coupon box WILL NOT BE SHOWN at checkout.

To implement, simply select "YES" and click on the update button. A coupon text input field will be displayed to online store customers in the checkout section of the application.  This field will be located in the same area where customer credit card information is collected.

How To Add Coupon Codes:

In the back office, under APPLICATION SETTINGS on the admin home page (1st column), click on Manage Coupon Discount Codes. Complete the form per coupon authorization code and create as many as desired.

1. Coupon Name: Assign a name or title for administrator reference. Example: March Discount Special

2. Coupon Password/Code: This is the actual string/code that will be distibuted to potential customers. Maximum of 20 characters.

3. Allow Discount Rate of: Select desired discount to be related to the coupon: (5% 10% 15% 20% 25% 30% 35% 40% 45% 50% 55% 60% 65% 70% 75% 80% 85% 90% 95%). When used by customers, the discount will be applied to the entire subtotal of the customer's shopping cart session. Therefore if the customer has 1 or more
shopping cart items, the discount will be applied to all shopping cart items.

4. Coupon Start Date: Select a start date in which the coupon code will be valid.  

5. Coupon End Date: Select an end date in which the coupon code will expire.

6. Activated: Select "Yes" to ensure that the coupon code will be calculated if provided by the customer.  If "NO" is selected, and the code is provided by the customer the discount will not be applied.

Click on "Create Coupon"

If activated and the Start Date is Less than or equal to the date of creation, the coupon code box will be displayed to customers during their checkout.
