Merchant Accounts

TOP

Choose and Establish a Merchant Account to process major credit cards. Depending on the type of credit card processing you select, real-time or web terminal, you will need to establish a Merchant Account to accept credit cards. In most cases, whichever processing you choose, the processing company will be able to create and approve an application for your company to accept credit cards.  For detailed information about Merchant Accounts, click the below link below to review results for Merchant Account providers.

Google Merchant Account

If your company already accepts credit cards, in most cases you can integrate the below listed solutions so that your transactions will cover your current merchant credit card accounts.

2simplifi Web Solutions, Inc. products and customized eCommerce solutions will support real-time credit card processing or manual processing for use with a virtual web terminal account.

Real-Time Processing

TOP

What is Real-Time Processing? Real-Time Processing is similar to a customer standing in a brick and mortar store and they hand the cashier their credit card after their total has been determined. The cashier swipes the card and will receive approval or non approval within seconds. The customer, depending on the authorization type, will either walk away with their merchandise or the cashier may ask for another credit card because the original card was not approved.

Real-Time Processing on the internet is the same. A customer will complete a detailed web form that collects the billing information about the customer. (Card Holder's Name, Address, City, State, Zip Code, Credit Card Number, Expiration Date, CVV2 Number, etc.) After the information has been provided, the customer submits their information. The billing information is posted to a processor, just like the swipe above, and the credit card will be approved or not approved. In the event that the credit card is not approved, the customer will be redirected to another web form, so that they can review and update their billing information and resubmit if necessary.

The key to real-time credit card processing with 2simplifi eCommerce solutions is integrating a gateway solution that gives you immediate connectivity to all major payment processors. This can be achieved through third party solutions by implementing snippets of programming code into the application's existing code. The code that is implemented is usually referred to as a Custom Tag. This Custom Tag works behind the scenes, keeping the customer, on the current web site and not redirecting to a completely different web site all together.

2simplifi Web Solutions, Inc. eCommerce products and projects have been implemented successfully with the following processor products available from third party companies.

Advantages of Real-Time Processing: Allows your eCommerce site to practically run itself. You will not have to worry about processing credit cards because the processor or gateway does it automatically. In most cases you will only have to worry about fulfillment of the products you sell.

Disadvantages of Real-Time Processing: Setup FEES and Monthly Subscription rates could cost more than Web Terminal Transactions.

Web Terminal Processing

TOP

What is Web Terminal Processing? A customer will complete a detailed web form that collects the billing information about the customer. (Card Holder's Name, Address, City, State, Zip Code, Credit Card Number, Expiration Date, CVV2 Number, etc.) After the information has been provided, the customer submits their information. The customer at that point will be directed to a web page informing them that their order and transaction have been received and that pending approval their order will be handles & shipped.

In the meantime, during the time that the customer is being directed to the confirmation page of the order, a scheduled e-mail has been sent the owner of the website, informing them that they have a pending sale. With 2simplifi Web Solutions, Inc. eCommerce products and projects, the billing and shipping information resides safely and securely in the application's database. The administrator will login to the back office feature and will then proceed to manually process the order via their Web Terminal Access Page. Depending on the approval or non approval, the administrator will be able to select the appropriate response and the customer will be notified of the status of their order.

Advantages of Web Terminal Processing: Setup FEES and Monthly Subscription rates could cost less than Real-Time Processing Transactions.

Disadvantages of Web Terminal Processing: You will need to be close to your computer in order to process all orders manually. If you receive a lot of orders, this can be very time consuming.

Secured Socket Layer (SSL) Data Encryption Certificate

TOP

No matter what, you will need to provide your customers peace of mind when they provide vital information through your web site. With a SSL Web Server Certificate on your website, any information sent to your web server is encrypted or scrambled, making it impossible to intercept or steal. It also displays the identity of the website owner, and the name of the independent authority who verified that identity, such as Thawte or Verisign. Various SSL Web Server Certificate connect at 256,128 bit, 56 bit or 40 bit depending on the client's browser capability.

For detailed information about SSL Certificates, click the below link below to review results for SSL Certificate providers. This is a necessity in establishing and creating your ecommerce web site.

Google SSL Certificate

Advantages of SSL Certificates: Displays your very own certificate detailing your specific company information and not a third party Shared SSL Certificate, offering potentially MORE credibility in reference to your company.

Disadvantages of SSL Certificates: Involves SETUP and RENEWAL FEES ($99.00 - $800.00 +), to include detailed company information, such as DBA (Doing Business As), LLC (Limited Liability Company) or Inc.(Incorporation). Much more administrative work, such as the generation of a CSR etc.

Shared Secured Socket Layer (Shared SSL) Data Encryption Certificate

TOP

This alternative is usually available through your hosting company. Contact them and ask about Shared SSL. This method provides the same security and encryption but displays the hosting company information.

Advantages of SHARED SSL Certificates: NO or MINIMAL SETUP and RENEWAL FEES ($0 - $20.00), and no detailed company information is required.

Disadvantages of SHARED SSL Certificates: Displays third party SSL Certificate detailing that company's specific information and not yours, offering potentially LESS credibility in reference to your company.
