| 1. Initial Meeting or Telephone Call |
The first step to successful web development is communication. With this is mind we will determine your immediate and long term needs and ask some of the following questions.
- What kind of technologies will be involved?
- How large of a project will it be be ?
- What type of budget do you have allotted for the project?
- When does this need to be completed?
|
| 2. Drill Down On Needs |
Our goal is to completely understand, at every level possible, exactly what your company wants and needs.
- Does the new application or web site need to interface with existing systems?
- Who or what will be the target user audience?
- How will the user access the site or application?
- What browsers need to be supported?
- Any restrictions on using using cookies, javascript or implementing session management.

| 3. The Small Prototype Application or Web Site |
| After determining your needs we will develop a prototype application based on the information gathered above.
We will develop a corresponding text page for each page in the final web site or application. These will explain what the page does and what links to additional pages should appear. The completion of this stage will constitute a meeting to ensure we are all on the same page and communicating properly.
|
| |
| 4. Determine Look & Feel |
At this stage we will help you determine everything from font color to content to graphical design and layout. (Or we will need to meet with the agency handling this.) This is where your site comes to life and the creativity comes into play. We will develop various views with different options. |
| |
| 5. The Big Prototype - We are getting closer |
| The "Big Prototype" integrates your look and feel into the functionality of the "Small Prototype" (Paragraph 3). This will be the longest and most important step in the development process. Here we will drill down on each page along with the look and feel. Communication at this level is essential to the success of the project. |
| |
| 6. Implementation & Testing |
| Based on the "Small" & "Big" Prototypes we will begin implementing your new application or web site. This will include database and query development and load testing on the backend while ensuring proper performance on the client side.
Additionally, we ensure that your application or site will function correctly in the majority of web browsers, more specifically in MS Internet Explorer and Netscape Communicator.
Upon completion or during the project your pages will be uploaded via FTP to your domain. Directories and files will be created to "house" your web site and to ensure all files are linked accordingly.
|
| |
| 7. Walk through & Approval |
| At this final step, we will go through the site with you and ensure we have covered every last detail and that you are 150% satisfied. |
